Each year Omega Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. (OPBSI) builds a partnership with an organization committed to eradicating the different forms of gender-based violence. We do this by naming a beneficiary of our Ray of Hope Walk efforts in the hopes of honoring the work of a specific organization. This year we are very excited to announce that we will be partnering with Black Women’s Blueprint for the 2020-2021 cycle!
This partnership with Black Women’s Blueprint has been years in the making. As our organization and walk has shifted and grown we have had the immense honor of having sisters, and Ray of Hope Walk organizers, who have build a long standing relationship with the powerful folks at Black Women’s Blueprint, and today it brings us so much joy to see those relations blossom into an important and necessary partnership.
As we move through continued moments of uncertainty and work with our communities to provide resources and support amidst current global and public health issues we remain committed in our belief that every woman has a RIGHT to:
live free of intimidation,
freely express her ideas or opinions,
make her own choices,
equal privilege,
receive justice and tell her story without prejudice
Through this new partnership we will uphold these commitments and continue to work to create safe and free spaces for women and survivors of violence.
Join us in celebrating this new partnership with Black Women’s Blueprint and please save the date for our annual walk on October 3rd, 2020.
