GSU Neo speaks to PBS about the College Experience

Angelica Sanchez, our Neophyte from the Collective at Georgia State University, spoke to the team at PBS News Hour’s segment on “Making the Grade” about her experiences as a first-generation college student in a competitive academic environment (Starting at 0:18). Angelica also talks about her experiences as a Freshman and finding connections on campus with a nod to her line sisters from the Spring 2016 class (Starting at 5:36).

The segment focuses on what GSU has done in recent years to better support students of color, students from low-income families, or first-generation students in order to see them succeed and graduate! Check out the video below:
